There are many ski and snowboard hire shops around Hakuba so you don’t need to worry about renting before you come. You may however want to compare the prices in Hakuba compared to your home country before you leave.

Central Snowsports Hakuba
We recommend Central Snowsports as they offer good quality gear, prices are very competitive and offer a pick up and drop off service from Penke Panke Lodge. You can either start your day from the Gondola close to their shop or Central will drop you back and you can start from the Sakka lifts opposite Penke Panke Lodge.

Spicy Rentals
Spicy Rentals is the largest Ski and Snowboard rental business in Hakuba with 8 different stores throughout Hakuba. The quality of their gear is good and they are always guaranteed to have stock even during peak holiday periods. Spicy’s Wadano store is located about 300 meters down the road from Penke Panke Lodge, we are happy to drop you at the store and you can walk through to the lift via a trail behind Spicy to the Sakka lifts.
